Streszczenie

Otyłość jest bardzo złożoną chorobą cywilizacyjną, której leczenie w zachowawczy sposób nie przynosi oczekiwanych wyników. Obecnie coraz większą popularnością cieszy się chirurgia bariatryczna, ale należy pamiętać, że chory poddający się operacyjnemu leczeniu otyłości powinien być objęty opieką całego zespołu terapeutycznego, w którego skład będzie wchodził m.in. dietetyk. Kontrola dietetyka w okresie okołooperacyjnym pomoże choremu w satysfakcjonującym ubytku masy ciała bez narażenia na niedobory pokarmowe. Dieta pooperacyjna wiąże się ze stałą zmianą stylu życia i nawyków żywieniowych, a także kontrolowaną suplementacją białka, witamin i składników mineralnych.

Abstract

Obesity is a complex disease of affluence. Its non-invasive treatment does not bring expected results. Nowadays, bariatric surgery becomes increasingly popular; however, it is worth noting that a person undergoing a surgical treatment should be provided with a complex care of the therapeutic team including, among others, a nutritionist. Nutritional supervision during the perioperative period will help patients obtain a satisfactory weight loss without nutritional deficiencies. Post-surgical diet includes both permanent change of lifestyle and eating habits, as well as controlled protein, vitamin and mineral supplementation.
